This page provides information about the Community Fund different grants. The primary purpose of the Cochiti Lake Community Fund is to receive, account for and disburse money that has been received from various sources.
To request a grant you must first request a grant application from the Commnity Fund board. Email the board at CLCFCommunityFund@gmail.com and a board member will contact you about the type of grant you need. Then the board member will provide you with the grant application and instructions.
An outline of the different grants appears here. A grant overview document also appears in the below document list which allows you to view, print and download these to your computer for easier access.
GRANT OVERVIEW
The Board is responsible for processing grant requests by permanent residents, recognized town committees, recognized community organizations, and the Community Fund Board itself.
Community Fund Board reviews all grant requests in public board meetings. Individual grant meeting reviews are confidential but only the review itself. Board determination of grant approval is not confidential. Any non-board meeting participants will be asked to leave the meeting until individual grant approval is publically voted upon by the board.
At present, the main source of income to the Community Fund is from professionally managed investments, interest from bank deposits, fundraising and donations.
GRANT TYPES
Individual Grant (CONFIDENTIAL)
Board Project for Residents Grant
Town Resident Volunteer Group Project Grant
Board Community Events, Activities, Gatherings Grant
Grant applications are provided by request of the Community Fund board. After receiving a grant application and its instructions, you can then submit your grant request to the Community Fund Board. Completed grant applications may be submitted electronically to the Board email or by paper in the Community Fund black mailbox in town mailroom next to town hall back door.
Grant applications must describe grant need in detail by including documentation supporting the need. Community Fund financial resources are limited so Community Fund Board must judiciously determine that each grant request supports the Community Fund mission and fund finances are sufficient.
